Student of the year 2008
Master Christian Hellings presenting Ieuan Blackwell student of the year trophy 2007
2008 has seen Ieuan go from strength to strength. His support for me and the Ogmore Vale club has been truly outstanding. Ieuan is growing to be a fantastic martial artist. It gives me pleasure to know that people of this calibre are coming through to be the instructors of tomorrow.

Tang Soo Do Students Kick Start Charity Fund
Students demonstrate kickng.
Saturday 28th June 2008, Students of "Master Hellings' Family Martial Arts at Ogmore Vale" gave a demonstration of their skills at the Ogmore Vale Primary School, Kick starting the schools fun day.
The School was raising money for ‘Ty Cariad Orphanage’ in Namugongo near Kampala, Uganda. Tang Soo Do Students contributed well over £300 to this fund by means of a sponsored breaking event (which was completed as part of the demonstration).
All students gave an impressive performance to the joy of the audience, and top of the bill was a father and Son act: Kyo Sa Simon Blackwell (Father) broke a building block with jump 360° back kick, and Mr Ieuan Blackwell (Son) who Jumped over 3 people, including school head Paul Booth, to break a building block with a flying side kick.
Ieuan Blackwell demonstrates flying side kickng.
The demonstration was given high praise by those in the audience; I would personally like to extend my tanks and gratitude to Kyo Sa Simon Blackwell who organised much of the demonstration while I was on holiday.

"Cameron has put in some very hard work in 2007 and beat off stiff competition for student of the year. If he continues to put in the effort I’m sure he’ll one day make an outstanding martial artist."
