Tang Soo Do History
- 1977
- Started training Tang Soo Do (Moo Duk Kwan) under the instruction of Master Tong Mun Kim.
- Prior to starting training in Tang Soo Do he had been practicing Kyokoshinkai Karate. Whilst training in this style he sustained a back injury that prevented him from training for several months. He saw an advert in a local newspaper that advertised a new Martial arts class being opened in the area, called Tang Soo Do. By his own admission he started training with Master Tong Mun Kim with the aim of getting fit to return to his Kyokoshinkai training. The warmth, technical prowess and teaching ability of Master Tong Mun Kim so impressed him that he stayed with Tang Soo Do and has been there ever since.
- 1984

- Master T.M. Kim re-located to Atlanta, Georgia, USA and attained membership of the International Tang Soo Do Federation. Master Williams took over as chief instructor for the United Kingdom. Master Tong Mun Kim still remained as the guiding light for the UK organisation.
